Throughout the 1990’s she pursued her interest in entertainment: wrote and produced plays, performed in talent shows, and promoted shows for local artist. In 1998, she had a short stint as a disc jockey for a local radio station. The opportunity came when she met the owner of WDJL Love 1000, at a gas station. She struck up a conversation with him about music and was hired on the spot. Though it didn’t last very long, she knew that it was the beginning of something great. Together with Coretta Marshall and Kent McKinnon, Victoria formed a gospel, theatrical group in 1999, called “CVK” (Christian Vibe Konnection). The vision for the group was definitely there, but Victoria’s focus was on higher heights. In 2000, CVK decided to work on other projects and went their separate ways. Growing restless and weary, this Alabama native decided to pack up her bags and head for Atlanta in 2001. Another opportunity came when Victoria worked as a receptionist at KISS 104.1. The public affairs director inquired about her talent and paired her up with a rap artist to do some background vocals. The rest, as they say, is history. In 2004 she released her first album entitled, “The V Files”. Though she has gone through some rough and rugged times in her life, this album is meant to inspire people as well as help them through tough times. “The V Files” was and still is one to uplift your spirits. Currently she is working on another album with a dynamic team of producers and artist. She is also skilled and multi-talented in the field of voice-overs, commercials, writing plays, and comedy sketches. Ms. Fuqua is definitely one to look for in the future. They say in life, whatever is going to happen, will. I believe that each and every individual has a gift or talent that needs to be shared with the world.
